The Claws & Paws Golf Tournament was established in 2004 as an annual charity event to raise money for the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area. The Humane Society of Harrisburg Area is the only non-profit open door admission shelter in Central PA and serves Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry and northwestern York counties. HSHA receives no government funding or funding from national or state animal welfare organizations. Their operational budget is met only through adoption fees, bequests, individual donations, corporate sponsorships and events, such as our golf tournament. To date, the Claws & Paws Golf Tournament has raised over $36,600 for the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area. Golfers have contributed over 2 ton of food and supplies.

We're off to a good start - $725 was raised at the 2nd Annual "Fore the Animals" Dinner/Raffle held February 26, 2009 at the Ye Olde Ale House, Mechanicsburg.

Thanks go to Keith Hench and The Ye Olde Ale House staff for the wonderful dinners and service for the 76 diners who joined us . We'll do it again in February, 2010!

Relies SOLELY on the support of the community for funding
